After graduating high school, my son wanted to go black bear hunting. So, I did my research and spoke with multiple guides in British Columbia before choosing McGregor River Outfitters, and man I am happy that I did! Eric and Monica run a first rate outfit. Most hunters can tell when a guide is just "doing a job" or when a guide truly loves "the hunt". I can tell you that Eric and Monica truly love what they do. We hunted hard and saw good bears every day. Needless to say, we tagged out on some georgeous black bears. My son had the time of his life and I am grateful for the effort that Eric and Monica put in to making our time with them so memorable. If you are looking for a guide who is very knowledgable and knows how to provide his clients with an unforgettable hunt, then Eric Hanson should be your choice. I will definately be hunting with McGregor River Outfitters in the future. Looking forward to sitting around the fire again and listening to some good tunes with a couple of people I now consider friends!
