This was the first fully guided hunt I have been on. I’m used to scraping for tags and living like a homeless person for a couple weeks when I go on an adventure hunt.
I’ve done a few semi guided bear hunts and enjoy them but this was a whole different experience. At SLO your catered to hand and foot. From the time you get out of the truck you feel like you’re part of the family. I’ve never felt so welcomed in a strangers home. It was amazing to see how enthusiastic Brandon and Cole were after baiting and checking cameras every day. They definitely enjoy what they do! Brandon was my guide and it was just like hanging out and hunting with one of my friends from home the entire time. I can’t say enough good things about the food. Everything was delicious and way more than you could eat in one setting. My good friend Matt and I booked for next year before we left. Can’t wait to hang out with Evan next year and get another great bear.
