This hunt was my 2nd guided bear hunt, and what a difference between this one and my first hunt.

My wife and I were married three days before this hunt and Chris knew this hunt was going to be our honey moon. We conversed on the telephone and email months before the hunt. Chris was sending me pictures of bears and even the cabin he had reserved for us. It was fun to sit down with my wife and look at the pictures. It really built the anticipation for the hunt.

We were not disappointed, Chris is a great host and guide. The cabin was clean and modern. The stands were comfortable and the baits were active.

My wife had a close call with a big bear the third night. When it came back the 4th night she arrowed a pope and young record bear at less than 20 yards.

My bait was a little slower. I had seen one bear on the 2nd night,it gave me multiple opportunities but I wanted to wait to see what the rest of the week brought. The next two days the bait was only being hit at night.

Chris moved me to a knew bait with a double ladder stand so we could enjoy the hunt together. We saw 6 different bear that night one was even bigger than the one my wife shot, he came in several times but wouldn't give me an angle I felt comfortable with.

Later a 275 boar came in and he wore my tag back to SD.

Chris also showed us some good local fishing spots that ended up with a nice walleye dinner for us one night as well.

Very well run business, cant wait to go back.
