This was my first bear hunt I have done so it was also my first time hunting with Chris. I had plenty of questions about a bears activity and habits since it was my first time hunting them. Chris had an answer for me on all my questions, and many times had a hunting story to go along with the answer as an example. He runs a lot of baits in multiple bear management areas. Both sites I hunted were hit every day and completely cleaned out by the time I was back in the evening to re-bait and hunt again. When the big bear that he had pictures of and I was hunting on my first bait was only hitting after dark, Chris offered me a new bait site without me even having to ask. I was checked by the game warden one night and when he found out I was hunting with Chris he said, "Chris is very good at what he does and knows how to find good bears year after year." I was the only new client in camp the week I hunted, the others were all return clients and one group was referred to him by some other hunters of his. I was unsuccessful in taking a bear my first hunt, but I will be booking again with Pine Acres in the future.
