This was my second bear hunt to Ontario with to different outfitters my first trip was up by jellicoe and was filled with a lot of false promises at the conclusion of that trip I swore I would never go on another trip. A customer of mine told me about chris so I spoke with him at the show in Indianapolis and he reassured me not all camps are like that as we discussed my problems from the first time. I left there and did some research and booked two weeks later. 18 months later we arrived to find the cabins more than adequate followed by briefing about our stands and pictures of what was visiting them. We proceded to the barn to get bait for our trip to the stand this is when my first shock came first trip we used popcorn this time cookies gummy bears dog food donuts and a list of other things that chris takes pride in. First trip to stand he takes u in and shows u where its at and how to bait and explained what bears would come from what direction ( it happened just like he said). He told us if we kill early walk out and wait by the road because he is in the area checking on hunters and its not if u shoot one its when. I saw bear that first nite but passed camp that evening great telling stories of what u saw and the bears that was killed. Chris and his guys help u find the bears and get them out once u get one their knowledge and experience is invaluable as far as knowing where they will go. There were four people in my group and we had passed bears and killed by Wednesday of the eighteen in camp four people wounded bears and was moved to other spots so this is not u draw blood your done he keeps trying to get u a bear. Two guys passed bears all week waiting on a giant because they have mutiple bears under there belts the rest of us went home with bears in the truck that is 100 percent opportunity in my book. This is a semi guided hunt not a safari in africa where u just pull the trigger u are involved in making your hunt a success so make it a good one. Good luck on your hunt
