We had a great week of hunting and fishing. I met chris and his wife at a hunting show in Grand Rapids, MI. We booked our hunt by e-mail. It was chis's first attempt at this and it went smooth. Myself and my wife along with two other couples made the trip. The wifes came along to fish and relax. The cabin was roomy and had everthing that we needed. Even the spouces said they liked it. Jim and Chris shot thier bear on tuesday night. Chris shot a very large chocolate. I did have to wait till friday to harvest my bear but had other oppertunities to kill a bear. At my first stand I saw a 200# bear on my second day that had a very nice blaze on it but I did choose to pass on this bear. Third day I saw another larger bear and I messed up. On this same day I baited my stand at 2:30 and when we got back to camp I checked my SD card out off my trail camera and thier was a huge sow with a cub at the bait at 2:20. I would have scared the bears off of the bait as I walked in. The second stand I sat in did not see a bear but once again the game camera caught a large bear at an hour after dark. The third stand that I sat in on the last day proved to be the winner. A bear came in an hour after I got thier. Bear had a nice blaze on it and guessed the size to be around 200. He ate some bait and then left. I told my self if he came back I would take this animal back to michigan. He came back and the rest is history. Chris and Tanner did an exelent job putting us on bear. Everyone in camp harvested, and only two of us had to wait till the last day. We all had a great time and will travel back soon. Thank you again pine acres bear camp for all the memories.
