My brother and I booked the Foothills Hunt with Trophy Hunters Alberta. This area was essentially all private lands, and the company apparently depends on getting permission from the various landowners to hunt. These permissions did not happen, the guide talked to several landowners who declined our request to hunt. We ended up hunting the same ranch for six days straight, the same 200 yard stretch of creek bottom. Six days straight! The two of us saw two legal bucks during the 6 day hunt, both small and non shooters. This area was also open to anyone who asked the landowner for permission, so we had plenty of competition. The company is selling a hunting experience that doesn’t exist.
