Most of the bears in this part of Wyoming are not large but color is the trophy here. I got a beautiful cinnamon bear. Five hunters in camp, two killed the first evening, the other three, including myself, all got shots on the fourth evening. One clean miss, one wounded and not recovered so his hunt was over (that was known going in) and my kill. I left the next day and didn’t hear if the guy with the clean miss got one on the last night. This hunt is conducted out of the Box Y Lodge and the food is excellent and the guide crew is excellent as well. Each hunter has an individual cabin and they are great. No electricity but propane lights and heat and complete bathrooms are in each cabin.

Late May was cool with some scattered showers. I have heard that the bears don’t like to come out when it’s raining and we didn’t see any when it was raining
