Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

I Brown Bear hunted with Jake Fletcher the fall of 2016, on Kodiak Island. The outfitter at that time was Alaska Trophy Safaris and was owned by Dennis Harms. After my hunt Dennis handed the reigns over Jake to continue hunting the Frazer Lake area, as Fletchers Kodiak Bear Hunts. Jake was my guide and had worked for Dennis for 19 to 20 years. Jake was a true professional in every aspect of the hunt. The Artic Oven tents are very roomy for tents and most importantly, warm and dry! When you are shoulder to shoulder with someone for 9 days and 10 nights, you get to know them pretty well. He loves what he does and loves getting his hunters in a position to succeed. Every camp I've ever been in, I'm told that I'm the largest guy they've ever had, with no exception here. As hard as I trained in southwest Missouri, lugging around 340 pounds will wear a person out and Jake was a huge cheerleader when the tank was getting low, to keep going. Even with my size, he figured out a way to put me in a position to take my Kodiak Island Brown Bear, that I'd dreamed about since I was a little kid!!! I still talk to Jake several times a year and I consider him a friend for life. I highly recommend Fletcherskodiakbearhunts.com to anyone in search for a Brown Bear!!! My bear squared over 10 feet and official Boone and Crockett score was 29 1/16"!!!
