I decided to take my father on a deer hunt for his 70th birthday I looked at all kinds of hunts throughout a lots of different states I ended up choosing hickory creek for a lot of different reasons but the #1 reason was the cost I felt it was super fair and there were no hidden fees no trophy fees and no guarantee every hunter knows that there are no guarantees when you are hunting a wild animal and if there is then you are probably hunting in a high fence hunt and to me that is not hunting. Jeff and his guides at hickory creek were very knowledgeable and helpful although we did have a stand or 2 that ran out of corn they can’t control how much corn the deer eat me and my father both had opputunities to shoot really nice bucks we did not .we are planning a trip back there for 2018 but this time we are going 2 weeks later to better hit the rut I am totally satisfied with my experience at hickory creek and I expect that next year will be a memorable hunt as well thank you hickory creek
