This was my third hunt in Area 64 with Conne River Outfitting (2010 and 2012 previously) and the most caribou I have seen in any year. I had a bear tag, too. All in all I hunted five days and saw a half dozen to a dozen caribou each day. We stalked several stags that I let pass. One of them I estimated would score in the 220 - 240 range but let it pass. On the third day we were looking for a bear when this large stag walked in front of us at about 300 yards. Followed it close to a mile before getting a shot at it. Hunted two weeks in with permits for moose, bear and caribou. I came home with a P&Y moose and P&Y and B&C caliber caribou.
