The hunt started with multiple communications prior to the actual trip between the owner Jeff and myself. What was impressive immediately, was the quick, honest and thought out responses to the "101" questions I asked him. He was truthful about late season harvest chances and the hunt lived up to and exceeded every expectation I had... The lodge was immaculate, local food opportunities were superb! (Love me some Chinese Buffet!)

Jeff was amazingly accommodating and knowledgable! He's an established archer and gets what a bowhunter needs to be successful. He had multiple bucks on camera from the days prior to my arrival and I was confident that an encounter would happen at some point during the week. I did see a quality 140" buck 3 different times that I was hunting - just couldn't close the deal. It was 55 degrees on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday then Snow and 11 degrees for Thursday and Friday. The weather early in the week kept the deer nocturnal but they were up and moving when it got cold. (Food Sources)

Great Guy, Great Lodge, Great Deer and Great land! The opportunity is there for 130" - 150" bucks consistently - with the chance that a "booner" is right over the ridge at any time!
