There were 4 in our party and no one saw a buck that would score 125 (minimum without a $500 fine) in 5 days of hunting, morning and night. There were other hunters in camp and 4 deer were taken and all were below the minimum. I talked to Darrin a lot before coming out to Missouri. We hunting in Nebraska the year before and had a dreadful hunt as well and Darrin promised me that if we came to Missouri the hunt would be different.

After two hunts, it is very obvious that this is a business for making money and it is all about quantity, not quality. There are good deer taken every year in various states but our experience was a total failure from the deer quality and quantity.

I am not a person to write bad things about someone, hence the reason for not submitting this for a year, but I do not want someone else to pay the money and have a lousy hunt like we did. I would look in other places.

The food was good and the guides tried to put us in good locations, there just are not many deer of any size in this area.
