I hunted this week with Jeff Butler at Full Draw Hunts in Adams County, Illinois. I don't even know where to start when talking about how great this week of hunting was for me. For starters, the guides were second to none, especially Rodney Cook. I would also like to say that the hunting propeties managed by Full Draw Hunts were exceptional and it was obvious that the pressure was minimal and well managed. Not only was there excellent stand placement in well travelled deer areas but the stands were only hunted in optimal wind conditions. The year round use of high quality trail cameras combined with well placed and maintained Biologic food plots played a huge role in the harvesting of my largest buck to date. I brought a group of 4 from Ohio and out of our group we are bringing home 2 great bucks and we lost another giant.
The overall atmosphere at the lodge was very laid back and friendly. It was like I had known these guys for years just minutes after arriving. The meals were just as awesome. Theres nothing like coming back to the lodge after a dark to dark sit and having fresh home cooked meals ready when we walked in. This combined with only have 6 guys in camp made for the best hunting experience of my life. Plus were bringing back 150" and a 130" bucks back to Ohio.
Our entire group has already rebooked for the same week in 2011 and we can't wait! I know that Jeff still has a very limited number of open dates for 2011. Feel free to call him at 217-440-5553 or send me a PM anytime or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. I believe the Full Draw Hunts website is fulldrawhunts.com
Jeff, thanks for your positive review of Full Draw Hunts. I take pride in doing things the right way while being up front and honest with each and every client. You and your group hunted hard and were rewarded. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys in 2011!
We did experience some windy conditions but I believe their low pressure strategy helped me overcome it.
