Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

2006 was the first year I hunted w/ BCO; I wasn't disappointed. Earn-a-Buck (EAB) - a practice implemented by the WI DNR where a hunter must harvest a doe before harvesting a buck - was in place and I had no problem harvesting a nice doe. Once I had the EAB tag I had a green light to go after a buck. Fortunately, I harvested a beautiful 140 inch 11-pointer with my bow at 17 yards. I called a doe he was trailing in with a fawn bleat can and he came right in behind her. On that particular trip, I saw two other bucks that were over 150 inches and another that would be around 160".

I also hunted with BCO in 2007. Again, EAB was in play and I was fortunate enough to harvest a mature doe with a 25 yard shot so again recieved a green light to begin hunting bucks. I went there fully intending to pass on anything less than a 150 inch class buck. I ended up passing on a couple bucks in the 140 inch range and then, at the end of the week, saw two bucks in the 160+ inch class that never quite came in to range.

2008 was a very rough year. Unusually wet weather in the spring, plus rising corn prices in the U.S., forced farmers to plant a lot of corn late. This led to a very late harvest and a lot of standing corn during archery and gun deer season. I ended up passing a nice 140 inch buck knowing full well much bigger deer were there. I'm confident 2009 will be fantastic as many good deer will have had an extra year to become great. I've already booked my hunt.

I've been on guided hunts in Germany & Slovenia for Red Deer Stag, wild boar, Reh Deer, and Gams (Chamois). I've also been on hunts in the U.S. for whitetail deer in KS, OH, VA, OK, IL, and WI. Many of the guides I've had were very good but none of them come close to what Scott does for his clients. Scott goes above and beyond to ensure every client has a quality hunt that produces a memorable experience. He gets to know each hunter and does a great job of putting everyone at ease from the beginning.

Stands are all either Lone Wolf or Gorilla - sturdy, safe, and quiet. Stand locations are well thought out and there are enough stands and land leased to rotate hunters in and out without burning out any one particular area. The new lodge is first-class and the rooms are plenty large enough to accomodate your hunting partner and all your gear. There are five bathrooms in it so nobody has to wait in line in the morning for showers. All his guides are knowledgable hunters who are intimately familiar w/ the area. The food is very good and always delivered on time. After the harvest the guides ensure the animal is tagged properly and they field dress the deer. They also help you take the animal to get it processed and caped.

Bottom line: This is a first-class operation run by a world-class outfitter who has the clients' goals in mind. If you want a quality hunt in some of the most beautiful country in the world, this is the place to go. Feel free to call me if you have any questions: 1-757-284-9198
