Being from Wisconsin I can confirm that Buffalo County is in the heart of some of the best white tail hunting in the State. My hunt was the last week of the archery hunt in 2007. First three days of the hunt there were only five hunters in camp. One missed a nice ten point opening day. I passed on a very nice ten point Tuesday night and shot a ten point with a drop tine on Wednesday morning. A friend that was in camp with me wounded a buck on Thursday. All five hunters saw nice bucks. On the way a stand Tuesday morning I saw a buck that had to be close to 190 class. Just a monster. Scott and his guys did an excellent job of getting hunters to and from stands. Local family owned meat cutting facility did a great job on caping the deer. Cook at the lodge is an older lady who used to own a resturant in near by Mondovi and she serves up an excellent meal every evening.
