Hunted the opening week of the Season 2008. The new lodge had just been completed and was fantastic. The weather was warm and the moon phase was full. There was an earn a buck regulation in effect in Buffalo County in which a doe had to be harvested first. This was accomplished without a problem. I saw two 140-150 class bucks but they were not within shooting distance. The larger buck was on the move after shooting hour. I believe if it wasn't for the full moon more Trophy deer would have been seen.

The land hunted was wooded with soybeans, corn and alfalfa available on each side. A Lot of deer sign including huge tracks every stand I was placed in.

The owner and guide Scott Kirkpatrick is a sincere guy who goes out of his way to make sure his clients shoot deer and enjoy themselves. He puts a lot of time in setting up his stands for successful hunts.

I plan to return to hunt with Scott and Buffalo County Outfitter this 2009 season and I would and have recommended other people to hunt with Scott at Buffalo County Outfitters.
