I recommend this outfitter

As other reviews have said Allan is easy to get along with. The lodge was comfortable overall. The issues we had are one ram we harvested they caped and hung the ram in a tree and left it there all day causing hair to slip. Another ram Allens step son caped he split the chest all the way to the throat hopefully the taxidermist can fix it thanks guys. If I were just hunting hogs and rams I would recomend this ranch overall. As for exotics I've been to other ranches and this one does not compare. There are several female exotics walking around and all the males we saw were very small even the ones they call shooters. They were also running feed routs around the perimter of the property away from the stands and not a lot of animals were coming into the stand areas we saw more animals using a spot and stalk method around the feed routs.

Outfitter's Response
Agree

We very much enjoyed this group of guys. I wish these concerns had been brought up to me during the hunt when I'm able to address the issues first hand. As for anyone reading reviews, a "reputable" outfitter wants to know any concerns as they occur so we can try to fix them immediately. We want our hunters to be successful because our success depends on your success. This group did have a tough hunt. As I am responsible for the actions of my help I immediately put the caped ram in the cooler once I saw it was left out. This is the first time that the cape that was split all the way up was brought to my attention. Rest assured that this matter will be handled. As for the quality of animals, an 18-20 inch blackbuck was harvested the first morning by another member of this group which is a shooter in my book. Gilbert harvested 3 of his 4 animals...he was not able to close the deal on an exotic. We have all different sizes of male animals...the big ones are there but are elusive, that's why they are big...it's just that unfortunately not a lot of the higher quality animals were seen by this group. As far as the feed route is concerned..we run the route down the middle of the property not the perimeter as stated for equal distribution of protein for the animals due to a drought in our area. This route is accessible during spot and stalk hunting. Basically, we've never claimed to be a trophy ranch even though we do have trophy quality animals. You can harvest the smallest or the biggest animals on the place and I'll shake your hand just the same. We've always focused and will continue to focus on the average working guy hence "The Working Man's Ranch." If we were a trophy ranch, we would charge trophy prices which we don't.
