I recommend this outfitter

I just returned from my trip to Paradise. Before I left I read all the reviews of Bowhunter’s Paradise on this site and was impressed to the point of disbelief that absolutely everyone that hunted there was 100% satisfied and even raved about their experience.

Let me address the things you might be wondering about:

Who is the Jim guy and how is it that everyone likes him so much? Jim is one of the finest people you will ever have the good fortune to meet. Many have said it here before and I will echo it; you arrive as a client and you leave with a new friend. Jim isn’t just the owner, guide and cook, he actually adds a new dimension of fun to what is already a great experience. I won’t divulge your secret games, Jim, I want others to have the same fun I did. Jim is truly passionate about hunting. I learned when we arrived that he had been up nearly all night the day before we arrived hunting hogs and not with a client, but for himself. How many people do you know that actually do what they do for a living on their day off too? Wow! That is passion. Jim is THE guy you hope is waiting to greet you when you arrive at any away-from-home hunt. Kudos to an honest, fun-loving, and genuine man.

Will I see as much game as everyone says they do? Let me tell you, you will see so many critters that you will soon say, “yep, there is some more. I only have 10 hours of video tape with me so I won’t video these ones.” I passed up what I later learned was a monster blackbuck on the first morning and a beautiful goat on the 2nd morning. I was after a Corsican and I did shoot a nice ram on the 4th day. I saw whitetails and fallow deer by the dozens. You guys that are going to hunt this fall are going to have whopper of a season. I saw goats, rams, turkeys, sika, and blackbuck does by the ton in addition to the whitetails and fallows. Is this going to be too easy? I will say that these critters are wild! You make a mistake with noise, wind or scent and they will be gone. If you want to shoot an easy-to-kill critter, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE. Be prepared to sit still and quite for hours if you choose to hunt from the box blinds. If you choose to spot and stalk, bring good hiking boots. You will walk a lot and the terrain is rugged to say the least. Be prepared to hunt hard. This hunt is no “gimme”.

Will the food be to my liking? Jim will feed you with great food until you burst if you let him. That phrase on his website, “you will be impressed with our Texas size portions” is no exaggeration. You cannot go hungry in Paradise.

What are the accommodations like? The lodge is a roomy 3 bedroom modular ranch house with bunk beds. It is very comfortable, but you will be so tired after all the hunting that you could sleep on a slab of granite. It was over 100 degrees while we were there so the air conditioning made for us very comfortable during meals and sleeping.

The hunt was all I expected and more. I will most definitely be returning for another hunt at Bowhunter’s Paradise. Thanks, Jim, for a great experience.

WOW...not much I can add to this but…."I LOVE YOU MAN"!!!!!

To echo what you wrote about reading the reports of the other Bowhunters that have been to Paradise sure is a Great tool to research where ya want to go--I wish I would have had option when I would make my yearly pilgrimages to Texas!! Pat sure hit the nail on the head when he started the "Outfitters-Reports"; thanks Pat.

I'm already looking forward to next June Jay--I really don't know how we could laugh any harder than we did this year; but I'm sure we’re gonna try.

Thanks for your report....it was very well thought out and informative--not to mention it was very flattering (must have been the heat I'm sure)!!

Again thanks; see ya next year Brother….can’t wait!!

God’s Blessings;
