I recommend this outfitter

Weather really put a damper on things (30+ mph winds blowing each and every direction plus hard rain for 3 1/2 days of the 5 day hunt). Obviously that is nobody's fault, just giving context as to why none of us filled our tags. What little time we did have with normal conditions the elk were exactly where the outfitters said they would be. They were responsive to calls, bugling, etc... I also liked being able to realistically hunt 500 yards from camp. It is pretty much exactly what I pictured a wilderness drop camp being. Bart and company are awesome guys too.

Weather Comments:
I've been archery hunting for elk in Colorado for 9 years, and I am not exaggerating when I say it was the worst conditions possible. 30+ mph winds, changing direction every few seconds plus heavy rain/sleet for 3 & 1/2 days. I have never witnessed a storm like that during archery season, especially one lasting this long. Needless to say, these conditions made it virtually impossible to effectively hunt. It's not the outfitters fault obviously, but I would recommend to other hunters to book a few extra days in the event you lose 3 days of hunting to weird conditions.
