I'm an outfitter myself and been in the business for near 25 years. Dan runs an excellent camp with excellent accomadations. I've never elk hunted before and never walked up and down mountains before, and got a lot of both on this my first outfitted trip. To say my wife and I are right now working a plan to get back there next year, is an understatement. We're going and that's all there is to it. Dan and his 3 guides had us in elk most every day and for the warmer weather and lack of elk activity (I thought there was plenty, but I don't know what it normally is like) I thought the anticipation that was present every time the hunters went back out, was a testament to how well this place is run and how hard the boys worked for you. Long and short...If you pass up this place, you're making a mistake.
None to date. If you are the outfitter please email us.
Very warm and probably affected animal movement, but give them one cool evening and wow, elk everywhere! Apparently it is cooler than the weather we had.
