I've been fortunate enough to go on 17 other outfitted hunts around the country. I rank this Bear/Turkey hunt with BCO the best by far. I saw bears every time I hunted. I saw 3 different color phases of bears. I had bears inside 20 yards huffing and jaw popping. I saw and heard turkeys each time I hunted. I was able to fill all my tags before the trip was half over. The view around every corner was breathtaking. I saw whitetail, elk, and mountain lions while travelling to, or through, my hunt locations. Everyone (6 hunters) in camp killed a bear. The outfitter, Matt Craig, was very professional with me at all times in booking the hunt. He's a nice man. Every detail with the hunt, licenses, etc. was finalized before I ever arrived. He was prompt to answer every question and he showed up and did a lot of hands on work at the camp. My guide, Anthony Hartelius, was even better. He made the hunt successful because he knows how to hunt and he genuinely cared about his clients. "Above and beyond" are terms that are thrown around a lot but they do in-fact describe his attitude and actions in getting you on the game. Obviously there are tons more details to the hunt/experience. I will gladly give any and all details to anyone considering this hunt. No outfitter can guarantee you anything but I can guarantee you that I had a wonderful experience on my hunt with Boulder Creek Outfitters.

It was actually very hot when I arrived. It stayed that way for the entire trip. I thought that would be a negative but my guide told me in the first five minutes after I arrived that the weather was perfect and would really help the hunting. He was right.
