Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

This was our first time hunting with Keith West at Riverview/Bowsafari. Keith has taken over Bowsafari and is doing a great job of running the ranch. Our group has been hunting Bowsafari for 10-yrs and have seen alot of changes to Bowsafari. With Keith running the ranch now, there are some very promising changes that took place. Instead of the corn route being run, you are now hunting near feeders. You would think that when the feeders go off..the hogs would come running in. This is not the case here. With 1250 acres of Prime Hog Terrain..these critters have alot of hiding spots/food sources. Now saying that the hogs dont come running in when the feeders go off is not necessarily a bad thing. Our group is not looking for a "canned Hunt"! Yes, Bowsafari is a high fenced area..but it is over 1200 acres. That is alot of land to hunt hogs! That being said, just about every hunter saw hogs every night. I had shot opportunities every time I hunted. Even the 1st morning that I went out. I just blew a couple prime opportunities by moving at the wrong times! After the first morning hunt..the hog sightings in the morning went way down. As most hog hunters know..hogs move more in the evenings. We saw hogs of all sizes..I personally saw numerous hogs pushing the 200lb mark. These hogs came in later in the evenings...just before dark. The one guy that was not seeing hogs every night..did get into a bunch the last night of hunting and brought home some bacon. There is no more stalking at Bowsafari. Again..a positive change. Yes it was fun to put stalks on these hogs, but every missed opportunity, educated these hogs and forced them to go nocturnal. If you hunted after a group of hunters that did alot of stalking, you were pretty much out on seeing hogs. People that I have spoke with that have hunted with Keith at Bowsafari are all seeing good numbers of hogs and very nice looking, healthy hogs.

While we were there, we had the opportunity to watch Keith release about 30 wild hogs into the ranch. There were some very nice sized hogs (150-175lb range). He does a very good job resupplying hogs as hunters take them off the ranch.

As far as the lodging at Bowsafari..This place is hard to beat. They have finished the 2nd large ranchhouse. Each ranchhouse is very clean and comfortable. Each has private full bathrooms/showers and a fully stocked kitchen. It like our home away from home!

We will definitely be hunting again "soon" with Keith at Bowsafari.
