Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

Brian with Archery Cabin did an excellent job setting up a perfect hunting experience. This was my first time hunting with a bow and he showed me everything I needed to know and spent about two hours helping me become proficient; he even let me borrow one of the bows from his bow shop since I had not yet purchased my own! (After the hunt, Brian made a good deal on the bow which I decided to purchase.) Brian has two locations to hunt from. This day we choose to hunt the location closest to his home. It's set up with three different feeding areas and stands. I chose a tree stand about 20ft up and 20yrds away from the feed. The stand was well hidden but provided a perfect view of the feed that we had set out on the ground. The situation was perfect and Brian had been baiting this area days prior without hunting it, so probability was high. Oh! I forgot to mention that when we arrived at this spot there were a ton of fresh tracks of all different sizes. My anticipation and excitement was peaked! The first boar came out at about 5pm. He was by himself and walking at a brisk pace coming directly toward me. He came and stood under my tree stand for about 30sec. smelling around and then walked over to the feed. When his back was turned away from me I drew back. Just as I was at full draw he turned broad side and I shot him. He ran into the brush and I heard him lay down and kick for a minute before dying--I knew I made a kill shot! I stayed sitting in the stand for another 20minutes hoping to capitalize on the last bit of day light. Sure enough, a mother and about 8 young ones walked out of the brush and over to the feed. The mother was huge! She also stood broad side in the exact same spot the first one did. I took aim and let another arrow fly stricking the hog. A couple of the young ones stayed around and continued to eat. I then waited for a good shot on one of them. Brian later arrived with his dog "King" and he quickly tracked down the first hog I shot and killed. with it being so dark and the brush so thick, he would have been lost for use. Unfortunately, the shots I made on the mother and the young one must not have been well placed as we were never able to track them down. The overall experience was excellent. To shot three hogs in one sitting was amazing! I'm looking forward to going back the end of this month for another round. Oh! Brian doesn't charge extra for trophy fees or multiple hogs. --James Kling
