Hunter Comments

I can't say enough about the quality service Jake provides. He does all the guiding himself and is committed to excellent customer service. This was a brown bear/ sitka blacktail combo. Jake is a bowhunter himself, so he understands the difference between rifle and archery hunting. The plan was to try and get a bear with my bow if they were still concentrated on the rivers or the opportunity arose. There were some sows and cubs still fishing but the loners appeared to be hitting it at night or done with it completly. Ended up getting a deer on day 6 and a bear on day 9. Both were shot with a rifle. (300 Rem. Ultra Mag) The deer was a beautiful 3x4 and the bear was an absolute toad. Skull green score of 27 7/8 and squared 10'6". It is easy to get excited and have a glowing recommendation when you have a successful hunt, but had I not scored I still would of considered the experience one of the best ever. The scenery of Kodiak and company of Jake are hard to beat. He loves hunting those bears and is a wealth of information. Watch out Rohrer, Munsey and the likes, there's a new kid in town and his name is Jake D Jefferson.

John was a great client with a great attitude making this hunt a joy for both of us, I enjoyed guiding him and have great respect for his attitude and flexability working with the bears not being active on the river during the day and his willingness to switch it up and take his rifle for the opportunity of five lifetimes. His realistic expectations were rewarded with a great bear! This was my first dealing with an active memeber of the bowsite and was impressed.
