We had a horrible experience with you on our bear hunt. Baits were NOT active and nowhere near a tree that could be used for a stand. Cabin was musty and at a slant. Fidel told that it was my fault for taking in to much bait. We walked past used tampon applicators and slept in shitty beds in cabins with small showers with bad plumbing. Never saw a bear. Never had a bait hit.
Was the outfitter notified of problems? - YES
This person is not a hunter, he would like the outfitter to do everything but pull the trigger. He was told we do not guide or field dress kills, we bait for two weeks and it is the responsibility of the hunter to continue. Aside from a lot of rain and cold temp (which he refused to go out in). He made no complaints, left after 3 days, and did he pay for his stay. we are not responsible for garbage anyone may find in the woods it's not our land. Scouting for two hours a day does not qualify as hunting which is what this person did and his son went fishing. All of our other hunters that visit our resort filled their tags within 3 day and are returning. Unfortunately we do not hunt for people and we cannot make a hunter out of people who only want to pull triggers and hang kills for bragging rights. people like This gives hunting a bad reputation and leave resorts not wanting to continue bear hunts, which would be a big loss to real hunters.
