I booked this trip with my dad and two of my very good friends at the outdoor show in Harrisburg. After I booked I started to read all of the reviews and got scared that I wasted my money. This is my 5th or 6th guided hunt and have never been successful and only had two prior opportunities on a shooter with my old outfitter. When we arrived we started with three days of archery inwich I made the mistake of passing a really good ten point but by the time I realized he was a shooter he was to close and woukdbof busted me if I drew on him. My guide was changed this morning and that’s when I ment Hunter who was my guide for the rest of the hunt. He walked me all the way to my stand wich was about a mile back in I have never had a guide so this before. As we all know there is nothing worse than walking to a stand for the first time with directions that you second guess if you made the correct choice the entire way in to the tree. After archery was over where there were several decent deer killed while we were there the rifle crowd arrived. Camp did get busy but they handled the flow very well my group requested to be with Hunter wich the accommodated and I am glad. The first morning of rifle I shot my biggest buck ever by 830 Hunter came to help me get it out with camp manager Brian. They took there time for me to get all the pictures I wanted and congratulated me and made the experience a positive one. After that I was in camp all day and watched Hunter worry about if the other guys were seeing deer or not and what he could do differently if they were not. The next morning I went with my dad to a double set the same one I killed a deer from and he shot a nice 8 point by 8am. I can’t say enough about Hunter and Brian as I felt with them more than anyone else. I would recommend WTH to anyone who asked and will be going back next year to do it all over. I find when people go with outfitters they expect it to be easy but it’s hunting and the is no guarantee we had a ton of fun. Kill or not I would of went back it was a great experience.
