This is my third trip to Hawk Outfitters in 8 years. My first year during archery season I went home with nice 10 pointer. Im from New Jersey and brought 3 hunting friends with me to Hawks Outfitters. I explained to them that this is a real hunting camp and Hawk is a serious outfitter. He will do everything he can to put you on good deer. He is serious and extremely knowledgeable in his line of work. He takes no crap and doesn’t like bad attitudes. This clearly his camp. Sharon, Hawks wife does the cooking and is an expert putting together meals quickly, efficiently and most of all delicious. She is friendly and a great person overall. Hawk has numerous exceptional properties and farms. He has ladder stands and blinds in timber, edges, river bottoms fields and the stands my group sat in were comfortable and strategically placed. Deer were abundant and some real good ones were spotted. I shot a nice 8pt. with touching wrap around antlers. Not the biggest Deer in these woods but beautybuck with loads of character. When I shot, I felt it was a good hit but the arrow was not immediately so when darkness fell, Hawk thought it was best to back out and return in the morning. Upon return Hawk picked up the trail like a hound dog and we made the recovery. Low hunting pressure, beautiful hunting properties, second to none guide service, fantastic new lodge accommodations, excellent food and deserts and beer if you want lol. Hawk is a true professional and takes pride in his outfitter business. He is a funny character and a mans man. He is the person anyone would want on their side on a deer hunt. He has rules and that are clear and reasonable and expects his hunters to follow in which we all do. A true pleasant hunting destination and hunting experience and I would love to return in the future. I’m writing this while still here at camp and all other hunters are returned last night with stories of big deer spotted but no shots but all extremely excited about their hunt today due to what they saw previous evening. Weather was great. Mid 50s throughout most days as a high. A few days got up to 62/63 but did not affect the hunting
