You should never leave the state of maine hungry. This was my 5th bear hunt over bait and my most enjoyable one. The owners, mike and kathy did everything possible to make sure we had a great trip. Our guide was very determined that we get on an active animal, as he moved us a couple times. Every day my baits were demolished, but my first stand was being hit by a nocturnal bear. Not much you can do there, so i was moved to a stand that i helped set up. I saw a MONSTER of a bear there and a smaller one as well. The big one would not give me a good shot so i passed. The next night was my last day to hunt and with 15 min of shooting light left i took the smaller bear 150#. He only went 10 yards and piled up. The cabins we stayed at were very clean, new, and very comfortable. The food was great and plentiful. Everything from start to finish was great, add to that the best scenery in maine.
