Booked again this season with Darrell Smith on a hunt. As I expected from my last years hunt, I can't say enough good things about Darrell, his wife Angel, and the guide that helped me this year Chris Plue. Saw some good bucks and one really large nice 10 point, But couldn't connect. Just the way it goes when bow hunting. Had some great set ups on some good farms. Chris went above and beyond and really try's his best to put you on a good deer, as he did with one hunter on the second day of shot gun. If you want good food,a clean spacious lodge, great comradery, and to hunt some of the best land I think in Illinois, give Darrell a try, you won't be disappointed.
