We stayed at the Rocky Knob Lodge and the food was fantastic. It was by far the highlight of the trip. The hunt itself was nothing I couldn't have done on public land myself. We were hunting on foot from public roads on public land. Spent alot of time riding around. Saw very little game except from the road and on land we couldn't hunt. There were 10 hunters in camp hunting elk and deer. There were no elk killed and only 3 deer.

I was still in the military at the time and in pretty good shape. But, I don't think we ever got more than a mile or two from the road. And the vast majority of that was walking old roads that had been closed.
