I had hernia surgery the January before I left. I've been on horseback many times before. This is a 22 miles ride in and ride out trip. I didn't know because of the surgery that I could no longer sit on a horse yet ride comfortably. Once in camp I could not ride again until I rode out. (this is not Tim's fault) He put me on 3 elk walking distance near camp. I chose to pass on the cow and spike and he couldn't get the 6x6 close enough for a bow shot. The other two hunters in my group were also bow hunters. They were into elk every day. All elk were 6x6 or better. Both of these hunters had multiple shots. the guides were good and friendly. The cook and food were great considering we were hunting in a wilderness area and had to cook on wood stoves with propane tops. This is a tent camp. I didn't want a luxury lodge hunt.
