Myron and Mary Beth provide an outstanding hunt. The guides are experienced and cordial. They have 54 sections of land in the Missouri River Breaks to hunt. I am a bowhunter, I was hunting with a rifle on this hunt. They take bowhunters and the terrain would be ideal for a bowhunter. I didn't see a lot of elk on this particular hunt, but for anyone who has hunted elk you know that they move around a lot and a place that has no elk one day can have a couple hundred the next. I did see elk every day... I killed a 6X6 on this hunt. The two other hunters in camp at the same time I was also both killed 6X6's. The hunt is spot and stalk. They use 4X4 Pickups to cover the ranch. They set up on high points to glass. We also hiked a bit to places we could glass. It's not an overly demanding hunt as far as being in shape goes, but a person needs to be able to walk some. Nothing is level here...It's river breaks country, so a person needs to be able to walk up and down the coulees, etc.
While the most important part of a hunt for me is the actual hunt, the food and accomodations were excellent. I really enjoyed Myron and Mary Beth, the guides, and the other hunters. It was a fun hunt. If you ever draw an elk tag in district 700, consider giving them a call.
None to date. If you are the outfitter please email us.
We had a little rain and it got a little muddy the first day, but it didn't prevent us from going where we wanted to go. It cleared up after that and was actually pretty warm.
