No Hunter Comments Submitted This was my 11th year with Beau and Mel Carlson, Derrick, Tyson, Angie, Scott and Stacey,Blaine, Sue, Kay and Neal at Coppers Creek. These people and this deer hunting experience is what keeps me coming back. Over the years, I have taken a number of trophy whitetails and have had some shooters get away from me. This year was a year I will never forget because I had an opportunity to take a buck of a lifetime and it didn't happen.I had him at 18 yds. and he busted me just as I began my draw. As you all know, it felt like I had a big black hole in the pit of my stomach. I watched him leap and run out of my life....but hopefully not forever because I will be back next year waiting for a second chance at him!!!!
