The difference between an outfitter hunt and a DIY hunt is that the outfitter is supposed to put in the EFFORT to pre-scout your intended game, and have some sort of a game plan ready. At MMW outfitters they lease a 1100 acre farm and if the elk are not there that's your tough luck. We were the fourth group of hunters in camp and no one had seen a bull elk, but that didn't matter. If you didn't like sitting in the one treestand or two (shredded) ground blinds - tough. And don't plan on gaining weight - breakfast is a 10am and your next meal is at 9pm. (no bag lunch just granola bars and water)
