This was a short semi-guided hunt set up by Jim Mundt. Guide Aron was very knowledgeable about the surroundings and did a great job of scouting and giving us every opportunity to harvest a mature whitetail. I was successful on taking a heavy 6X4 that scored 146 7/8". Aron was very helpful in the recovery and processing of my trophy. 2013 will be my 3rd year hunting with Jim's outfitting crew. I have had nothing but great hunts on his properties. In 2011, I'm sad to say I lost an awesome 5X5 drop tine buck that would have been a mid 150's buck. Had I recovered I would have been batting a 1000 on harvesting a mature whitetail in South Dakota. The quality of animals found on his property is outstanding and nothing like anything I've seen anywhere else. Each year I say I would like to try something new and each year I find myself booking another hunt with Jim. Some people think that guided hunts should be a guaranteed harvest but if that's what you are looking for you should stick to gun hunting. I would recommend this hunt to anyone!!
