My hunt this past November with Taxis River Outfitters was excellent. I was looking for a big woods experience where I had a good chance of shooting an exceptionally large deer. Taxis River exceeded my expectations. Larry's team of guides are extremely knowledgeable and work very hard to provide each hunter with a quality experience. The guides take great care to properly place stands in areas where big bucks are expected to be and are extremely dedicated to providing each hunter with a quality experience. My 80 year old father accompanied me on this hunt and was not comfortable with a tree stand. Larry provided my dad with several options for hunting on the ground to accomodate his hunting style and my dad saw the largest deer he's ever seen. Though he was not able to harvest the deer, he was thrilled with the experience. And Larry's wife Bonny is an excellent cook and provides wonderful home cooked meals. If you are looking for a serious, big woods experience with a professional outfitter that thinks of all the details and spends the time necessary to provide you with the best possible hunting experience, I highly recommend Taxis River Outfitters.
