Bar H is a top-quality operation. Great camp, great guides, great food, horses and tack were top-notch too. They hunt an area with a large elk population in northwest Colorado. I thoroughly enjoyed the hunt, and felt like I got my money's worth even though I did not harvest an elk. My guide and the camp staff gave 110% effort 24/7.

In early November, it should have been cold with several inches of snow on the ground and the elk migration to winter grounds underway. Instead it was warm and dry, no recent snow, and the elk were still in the high elevations.
