I recommend this outfitter

Joe and Doug run a great camp. There were 6 of us in camp and everyone pulled their bow back and that's not a bad year for the average archery elk hunter! As a bonus, 4/6 of us released an arrow! 4 were guided and the my buddy and I hunted on our own (outfitted only). This was a wilderness hunt in the Bitterroot. The elk weren't overly abundant, but they were around. Wolves are around, but not as bad in this part of the Bitterroot. Joe/Doug's knowledge of the area is second to none. They both hunt elk with bows and think like archers (they also run a gun camp). Even though in a wilderness area, their camp has all that an elk hunter needs. The tents and campfire was filled with stories, laughter, and planning for the next hunts. More importantly, they understand their clients and produce an atmosphere that ensures the "camp" is part of the experience. They have several options for locations for next year's hunt, but I would highly recommend their service to any medium to hard core elk hunters.
