Ron is a great guy and will do everything he can to put you on the bears. Stand locations and bait sites were well prepared in advance and very active. All the gear and equipment he uses was in very good working order and ready for the hunt. Camp accommodations were very comfortable and Jeannine’s cooking was like going to your favorite restaurant for every meal. I showed up as a stranger and left as a friend. If you’re looking for a no frills, great Manitoba bear hunt from a hardworking guy, I highly recommend Ron Dare with Bear Track Outfitters.
We had a great week, when Jon was with us. He shot his bear the first evening he was with us, and was the 7th or 8th bear that evening. While laying on the ground taking a picture of he with his bear, another bear walked up to us. What a time trying to get that bear up on the atv once we got it out of the boat! Which we never did, but had to go back to the truck and get a trailer and roll it up on the trailer. When we got back to camp, this bear had to be weighed and I'm glad Jon suggested it...a whopping 440lbs!
When a guy leaves camp and offers up his name to be a reference for future guests, we know we did a good job.
