This outfitter is one of the few that is outfitting in area 410. This is a limited draw area for Archery and only 50 tags for rifle. We watched over a 100 head of Elk on the ranch with probably 30 bulls and half of those over 300". Though my hunt was probably not a common occurance, I had 3 bulls come within easy bow range that would easily make Pope and young along with several rag horns, spikes and cows. Out of 3 hunters in camp we ended up with 2 300" bulls and the 3rd man coming close on a couple of occations on 320-350" bulls. I have hunted Elk in New Mexico, Colorado and Western Montana. Up until this hunt I had never drew back on an Elk. I had my bull on the first day. If putting in for this area I would suggest getting both an Antelope tag as well as a deer tag. I had a great time bird hunting for Hungarian patridge and fossil hunting after taking my bull. I wish I had bought a deer tag.
