i hunted with rustin and amber titensor in 2005,2010,2011 and i am booked to go back again in 2012. i have hunted with archery equipment every year, and i have killed a bull every year. my bulls were all called in by some great callers, they were constantly checking the wind and keeing it in our favor, my shots were, 6 yards, 12 yards and 16 yards on my 3 bulls, when they tell ya they get them in close there not lien. i have always heard a lot of bugling, seen lots of elk, and in my 3 years of hunting with them there has only been 4 days that i can remember that the elk just werent vocal and didn't cooperate. rustin is a very honest man and when u book this hunt i advise u to be in the best shape of your life, this is very rugged terrain, he has a great stock of horses he uses to get you in and out of elk country on a daily basis. the average bull killed is a 5x5. with this said that doesn't mean there isn't some really big bulls in his area, i have seen atleast one 300inch bull every year i been out there we just never were able to pull them away from there cows for a shot with a bow. if killing a bull elk with a bow is what your after, i highly recomend giving this place a chance, as a matter fact i am scared to try any other outfitter because i feel i am going to kill one every time i go to doubletoutfitters. i was told that if he got ten hunters a week that were able to get around like me, there would be ten dead elk every week, now i will say i am only 27 years old and very athletic and the mountains don't slow me down and i feel that is why i continue to have very good successout west.. give rustin a call,,, i don't think u will be disappointed if u give him a chance, remember u r paying for a hunt,,,, not a kill.. its fair chase...
