Sandy River Outfitters

Let me start by saying I have been up to Harris’s 3 times now. I have gone 2 for 3, but this was my choosing, it should be 3 for 3. From my 3 trips he has been 100% opportunity for his hunters; it is just a matter of what you want to pull the trigger on. My first time was the first time I have traveled out of country to hunt and did not know what to expect. After this first trip I felt as if I have been one of Harries life long friends as well as his guides and camp cooks. Your trip begins and ends by them picking you up at the Winnipeg airport. Just a short 1 1\2 drive you are in camp, or should home. You will be staying at a house on the river, no tents. After tagging out this year on the first night with a 6’8” pope and Young bear. I spent the rest of the week baiting after dropping off the hunters. He runs no less 30-40 bait sights and he will move you around according to what you see each night, no burned out bait sights. As far bear size, I would say average is 6ft with a least one 7ft per year. He also has plenty of color phases if that is what you are looking for.
I highly recommend Sandy River for your spring and fall bear hunts. I hear he has a great deer camp as well. You can call me if you have any questions. John 678 410-2442.
Breakfast is always cooked to order. Lunch is ready before the afternoon hunt, no bagged lunches. A hot meal is waiting when you return at night after the hunt. The cooks will always take suggestions on meals. You will not go away hungry here. By the way the cooks are always pleasing to the eye.
