i've been hunting with corey and george since 1991. i went bear hunting on a fluke cancellation at last minute when grant called me. 15 years later and many memorable trips to new brunswick, i have a collection of P&Y bears that i am very thankful for and proud of. i too myself am a guide, and i could quickly appreciate the efforts corey and george put into their hunters. going bear hunting once is exciting, but when veteran bowhunters return to chase outfitters decade after decade, drive 21 hours each way, spend hard earned money, have child like enthusiasm for weeks before the hunt, and still can't sleep the first night in camp, says alot about what they really have to offer. i don't go for the bears anymore, i go for a great experience and the bear hunting seems to be an added benefit. twice my daughter has been invited to hunt with me with her video camera, and both times i took phenomenal bears with brittany, age 11. she captured the shot on my 20"+ boar and maintained enough composure to catch him tumbling to the ground within 30 yards. all 12 trips to new brunswick were incredible, but those two trips with brittany were beyond comparison. thanks to george, paul, and especially corey over the years for some great hunts which were only a fluke back in 1991. brittany wants a bear hunt for her high school grad present, and my son myles wants to hunt bears too, he's 9, so george will be 104 when myles has his first hunt! if you want to hunt bears with corey and george, my best suggestion is follow their advice, do as they do, take lots of mental notes, and most of all, be a good student. let the teachers teach, and you do the listening, and you will get a great education and experience in the end. its very easy to mess up the listening/learning process, but it involves "listening and learning" most of all. if you want bells and whistles with lots of extras and entertainment, go to las vegas...............if you want to learn from two veteran bear guides, you should be heading to grand bay, new brunswick. i'll include some other pics and posts as well. good hunting, and thanks to chase outfitters.
