Did Weather Affect your Hunt?
Yes - Unusually Wet Conditions

Weather Comments:
It was raining a few days and made the bears lay up. But I as able to take a nice one the day after the rain, so it may also have helped a bit!

Hunter Comments -->>>

This is my second hunt with Boulder Creek and my first spring bear hunt ever, and I'm already looking forward to next year's hunt! The hunt was over bait, and the only complaint was the quantity of animals seen and taken during the hunt. Bears were hitting the baits, but a lot seemed to be nocturnal. Of the seven hunters in camp, three bears were taken and a fourth was shot at. Two hunters in camp didn't even see a bear. Personally, I think the success rates posted on the site are a little inflated from what my personal experience has been. I'm of the stance that this is hunting and there are no guarantees, though it would be nice to see a few more bears in camp.

That being said, this is one of the hardest working outfits in the country. The guides do everything they can in their power to put you on animals and they get more excited than the hunters when a bear's down in camp!

The camp chef prepared some great meals, but due to personal circumstances that were unavoidable, was out of camp for a day and half and put a bit of pressure on the guides to get some meals ready for the hunters. Also, maybe because it was the last week that they were running camp, there wasn't much to choose from as far as snacks around camp. But the food was delicious and it was nice to come back to a warm meal.

I lucked out and took a trophy of a lifetime and I can't give the outfitter enough credit. They did a great job with trophy care as well and once the bear was down I had to worry about very little.

Thanks again to the guys at Boulder Creek. Tony, Karl, Alex, Matt, and Tim really made the hunt! Looking forward to doing it again!

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS OUTFITTER
