I recently concluded my third Spring black bear hunt with Bear Track Outfitters. Although I am a rifle hunter I think my review is appropriate because Bear Track services both bowhunters and firearm hunters. I'll randomly touch on areas i think prospective hunters would find useful. Food, Jeannine Dare is a chef, not a cook! The meals are delicious,ample quantity,with appealing presentation. The accomadations are in clean,warm,comfortable cottages. All equipment,i.e. atv's, trucks, boats, motors,are in good working order. The bait sites are constantly checked and rebaited. The treestands are safe and secure. The guiding, done by owner Ron Dare and Darren Shipp, is as good as it gets. They both have years of experience. They work hard to help you get a shot opportunity. The bears in this area seem plentiful. There are big bears taken every week and they also take color phase bears.
