I do not recommend this outfitter

I won this hunt and was very excited to hunt with Dan Bell. He was a very nice guy with good accomodations. I didn't go to Kansas for a vacation...I went there to have a chance at a good buck. This was by far the best big buck hunting area I had ever been in. Its just a darn shame Dan overhunted his areas and was more worried about making money than providing a good hunt. The people trails to the stands were far better than the deer trails. I'd hate to say how many hunters had been in the stands before I got there. The first morning he dropped me off in a blind right at the crack of daylight in his suburban. I thought "WOW" they sure do things different in Kansas.

After day 3 of hunting with Dan my buddy asked him about hunting the wind and different stands for different winds, Dan got defensive and obviously had no clue how to hunt the wind.

I think Dan Bell has some of the best hunting in the country but has no clue how to hunt big deer. He is worried about getting the most people through his hunt so he can collect the almighty dollar.

The best thing about this hunt is that I met some local farmers and found some really good places to hunt right in Dans backyard. I went back and hunted some of these areas the following year and saw a ton of deer. I guess I should thank Dan for getting me in the right area...All I had to do was find some property he had nothing to do with and hadn't pressured.

Overall Bell Wildlife Specialties has great accomidations, awesome ground and good food. He just has no clue how to hunt deer. He is more interested in making money than providing a good hunt. In No Way would I ever recommend Bell Wildlife Specialties for a whitetail hunt. We were all higly disappointed in his whitetail hunting. The big deer are there he just in oblivious to how to pursue them.

Outfitter's Response
Disagree

I find it interesting that it has been over 14 months and this gentleman is posting now. This gentleman posted to the effect that we were overhunting and our only concern was money. He was here in camp with 5 others and he was here on a hunt that we donated. Draw your own conclusions. We have been in business over 14 years! We would not be in business if we did as described. References are available upon request from successful, un-successful, and our repeat clients!
