I hope this saves somebody their money and time. SUNDAY ARRIVAL.Told there was going to be no more than 8 hunters,14 were in camp.Web site showed nice cabins with bunk beds,6 of us were stufffed into a run down trailer that should have held only 4.One shower for 6 of us.Had to go looking for tp,bathtowels, papertowels, and no hand soap. Was told to wakeup early Mon. morning for meeting, it never happened. We sat around for at least 1 hour waiting. MONDAY.Stayed in stand all day. When it got light I had to cut shooting lanes.Stand just thrown up,corn never touched, squirrels didn't even know it was there.More of a gun stand.Driving down a monster hill in the morning I asked the "guide" how we were going to get back up if it rained, he wasn't sure.Well it sprinkeled a little,4x4 got stuck. We ahd to hike up this monster hill. I am 54 and a carpenter so I am not in bad shape.I had to man up big time to make it back up the hill.Had a huge pain in my gut, glad I didn't have to walk any farther. No deer. TUESDAY.Stayed on stand all day.No corn.Mid morning 8 pointer chased 2 does to my stand. The buck stopped at 20yds and 1/4ing away. Moved my left foot and hit a loose bolt, you know what happened next.I found another bolt that was never tightened.Saw a small basket 7 and a forky.Stand in the middle of nowhere but saw deer.End of hunt walked out to main jeep trail and waited 1/2 hour.Called guide and he said I told him to pick you up.I asked directions and started walking back and ended walking all the way back.Found out owner was to pick me up and found him watching T.V.Had words with him about loose bolts and walking back. Also confronted him about 14 guys in camp and agreed with me.First hint he didn't care. WEDNESDAY.Morning stand. No corn.No deer, and nowhere near runs.At luch had to push "guide" to tighten bolts.Night stand guide put out corn, and I had to cut shooting lanes.Saw a deer sneaking through the trees above me. THURSDAY.Back to loose bolt stand.Had corn.Saw a button buck.Had to leave early,it got windy and the stand squeaked relentlesly.Night stand. Driven down a shorter but very steep hill.Had to cut shooting lanes and still only had a 25% shooting window.Had me on a corner of a clear cut, good gun stand. No deer.Well it rained and had to walk back up the hill, had to stop 1/2 way up to take some gear off."Guide" looked back and didn't offer to carry anything.Got back to camp and asked owner where I would be hunting in the morning. He said back at the same place, I told him I wasn't hunting there again. He told me all I did was bitch. He also told me I was rude because I took clothes out of the 1 dryer to put my clothes in.I placed them on a chest freezer and told I threw them down. I was told I could get in my truck and leave. FRIDAY.Got the nice guide to take me out. Finally a decent stand.Had corn and saw a forky. The night stand was set at least 50yds from cover, could shoot 200yds in front of me.Couldn't take it and cut the zip-ties off the camo burlap and used as a ground blind on a little ridge in cover.Saw no deer.Tied the burlap onto stand.Friday night the steam was almost gone for all of us. SATURDAY.All 6 of us had enough and packed up.Didn't hunt the last day. ONE of my guys was told what do I expect for $1,500. How about what was advertised. MAYBE had 40 stands. I would be surprised if that many. ONE of my guys had to track own deer. TRAILER had holes in it,bugs got in. Glad it wasn't cold. THREE guys hunted 2 days and went home early. TOLD dinner was "home cooked". It was from a chain restaurent,it was alright. But a lie. MOST stands for gun hunters. STANDS hunted so much most does looked into the stands. TOLD we wold be hunting over food plots, corn and bean fields. Never saw any. FATHER and son stayed in curtained off area in T.V. room. "Guide kept them up watching T.V. Father had to crap in the woods at 2am because he didn't want to wake the other hunters in the cabin. THE owner didn't care or apologise for anything. He was also very arrogant. WE felt sorry for the nice guide. He didn't have much to work with. 10 of 14 hunters asked would not go back. IF anybody would like to contact me feel free, I have 5 other guys to back me up.
