Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

This hunt is strictly for bowhunters looking for a top end trophy Antelope. It is very open country and because the short (8-9 day) season is in mid-late August it is too early for the rut and it is during the monsoon season. As a result, decoying or waterhole hunting is usually not very effective. Spot/stalk is very tough but it is possible. So if it's so tough, why go? The reason is the trophy quality. I can honestly say that after hunting with BH 3 times that I had encounters with true B&C caliber bucks nearly every day I hunted. Lots of huge bucks means lots of opportunities and that's exactly what it takes with the odds stacked against you. Sooner or later the stars will align and you'll kill an absolute monster speed goat.

The people are fantastic and the accommodations are in a wonderful ranch style lodge that has been an important landmark since the days of the old west. Beaverhead is a working cattle ranch covering over 120 square miles in the heart of the Gila National Forest, New Mexico.

This really is a tremendous hunting opportunity and all around great western bowhunting trip. They also offer great elk hunting in the Gila.
