Joe had his work cut out for him on this hunt. There were so many different changes from the department of game for 2011 that we were scrambling to figure out the logistics. Everything worked out great though. The area we were in was amazing and we were on elk hard the 2nd-4th day. The 4th morning Will coaxed the new world record 4x4 elk into 33 yards and he made the mistake of standing broadside to me. The area we hunted makes it hard to glass so we didn't see huge numbers of elk, but we heard quite a few bulls and were seeing a lot of fresh sign. I'm hoping to be back in the same camp next year!
